RESEARCHES

From the autumn of 2008, we had been leading a research programme with the participation of prominent drama organizations from Hungary, England, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Norway, Palestine, Portugal, Serbia and Sweden, with the financial support of the European Union. We examined the effects of dramatic activities used in education on the following Lisbon Key Competences: communication in the mother tongue, learning to learn, interpersonal, intercultural and social competences, civic competence, entrepreneurship and cultural expression.

The DICE programme has been the biggest professional project of KÁVA so far. It is important to note that such a big scale research in the fields of drama and theatre in education is unprecedented. In 2011, we published the data and results relating to Hungary.

We have also been partners in different, smaller-scale research projects, together with the AnBlokk Association of Cultural and Social Sciences (www.anblokk.hu). These projects and trackings either focus on one of our TIE programmes, or they make the comparison of the different methods used by the different partners of international co-operations possible.
