OUR PUBLICATIONS

Since there is a need for the extensive spreading of the varied use of the method, Káva endeavours to foster this with publications, collections of website links, articles, and documentaries. Among other things, we are planning to continue the publication series we started last year cooperating with the Marczibányi Square Community Centre. 

Academic and methodological publication series

Theatre and Pedagogy – a new stopgap publication series was started by Káva and the AnBlokk Association of Cultural and Social Sciences. We regard this as a very important stage of our many years of cooperation, in the course of which the two organisations have attempted to find new ways to interpret social conflicts and social gaps, and to find the possibilities of handling these problems. With the series we aim at presenting the findings of different research on the fields of social sciences, pedagogy and psychology, which describe the workings of theatrical and drama methods in handling and processing social conflicts.
Volume 1: „Constructive Drama” – the first volume of our publication series attempts to compare, contrast and harmonize the theory and methodology of dramapedagogy and constructive pedagogy; this volume might be of interest to those involved in either trends.
Volume 2: Social Performance – the second volume of our publication series shows such social and cultural scientific approaches where the key concepts are: “social drama”, “social performance” and “performativity” itself.
Volume 3: Case Studies of Dramapedagogy I. – four case studies can be found in this volume. Each of them gives insight into the history of a given school class, demonstrating what dynamics can result in maltreatment, violence and exclusion.
