Complex TIE program for 14-15 year-olds about xenophobia and preconception

Greek guest-worker is arriving into a German village’s tin-works. Silent, knows only a little Greman, works a lot and is always wearing a head-scarf. He can generate the sympathy of women and the antipathy of men easily. The dago- they call him among each other, because he is from the South and he is a stranger. He is not from them, he does not speak their langauge. The men from the village feel that the dago takes their work, their women away, they have to punish him to prevent themselves, and the dago should go back where he came from.

The audience can see Fassbinder’s drama in three parts. Three times from three points of view, every time subsequent main characters, subsequent parts.

This TIE won the surcharge of III. National Childrentheater Parade in 2005.

The program is 180 minutes’ long.
